The month of March has been as intense as it has been inspiring! Between enchanting walks in the great outdoors with curious children, exhibitions shared with artist friends, and preparations for a major project coming this summer... it's time to take stock with you!
The Guardians of the Forest: magic, nature and creation in Nevers
For the past few weeks, I have been working with the Lucie Aubrac, Pierre Brossolette and Albert Camus schools on the project Les Gardiens de la Forêt . An artistic and sensory adventure that invites children to immerse themselves in nature, to observe, imagine, create...
The first session took place in the magnificent Rosa Bonheur and Grands Champs parks in Nevers. After a short guided meditation to awaken the senses, the children set off in search of magical creatures hidden in the trees. They drew them, then began to shape them by gluing natural elements: bark, leaves, twigs, etc.
During the second session, in class this time, we experimented with a new material: papier-mâché! Egg cartons cut into confetti, blended, and mixed with a homemade flour-based glue. A wonderful sensory discovery, a little sticky but above all, very fun.
And the third session was dedicated to coloring, adding details, and creating the labels for the exhibition. The creatures are gradually coming to life and I can't wait to show them to you at the two planned exhibitions. A magical experience guaranteed!
Back to basics and artistic favorites
Back in Nièvre, I had the pleasure of meeting up with my fellow artists for some wonderful exhibitions. Notably the one at the Château de La Vernée on the weekend of March 15th – a place steeped in history and poetry – and then the one in Châtillon-sur-Loire , which ended last Saturday. At the opening in Châtillon-Sur-Loire, some members of my family honored me with their presence and it touched me a lot! The painting "Ya Plus de Saison" was apparently very popular, the place was truly superb, why not propose a solo exhibition next time??
Unfortunately, that's when my phone's camera died, so I don't have any nice photos of Art No Limit to share with you other than this little video to give you an idea...
And since I love spontaneous impulses, I hopped on a train one Thursday at noon to Paris... heading to the 7th arrondissement town hall for the opening of Fuad Kapidzic's exhibition, organized by the association Art Pour Tous Sans Frontières. A sensitive exhibition, where the deep blue of the canvases brings a specific force to the works. Art, always, as a compass.
Currently, the Tehef association has opened a pop-up shop filled with original creations in La Charité-sur-Loire. A must-see! An exhibition of the artists' works will soon be held in the garden in Cosne-sur-Loire.
Big announcement: heading to Peyroules this summer!
I am very moved to finally be able to tell you about it: this summer, I will have the honor of presenting a monographic exhibition in the Romanesque church of the town of Peyroules . A unique place, nestled in an old ruined hamlet, accessible only on foot by a path… a timeless atmosphere.
Mark the date: Friday, August 8. An exceptional day is in the making:
- at 4 p.m. , a presentation of the hamlet with a passionate speaker (organized by the CCAPV),
- at 6 p.m. , a performance by the Laskaskas Company ,
- then the opening of the exhibition in the church where my latest paintings will be unveiled in a scenography designed especially for this unique setting thanks to the advice of Adrien Chiapelli, architect in the Verdon and Préalpes d'Azur region.
To bring this exhibition to fruition, we'll be launching a crowdfunding campaign with exclusive rewards in May. This will be an opportunity to share our beautiful scenarios with you ;)
I look forward to seeing you there, to experience this suspended day together.
And you, what inspired you this month?
See you soon for new creative adventures…
