My first art book is on its way!
(Pre-orders open 🎉)
It's official: my first art book will soon be published. A project I've been developing for months, born in the wake of this summer's exhibition in Ville — those intense weeks, full of encounters, light, matter and color.
This album is much more than a simple exhibition catalogue : it is a trace, a breath, a plunge into the universe that came to life this summer within the walls of Ville.
I have gathered my works there, details that can only be seen by getting very close, photos of the hanging, but also personal texts , some sketches, and above all… the energy of the moment .

Telling the story of the exhibition differently
The exhibition in Ville was a highlight. For several weeks, we worked on the installation and preparation of the artworks, and finally, I had the chance to enjoy 10 days where I saw my work come to life under a different gaze: that of the public . Some visitors came in by chance, perhaps while hiking to explore the hamlet, while others had followed the entire creative process from the very first sketches.
This magical and breathtaking place played a huge role. It transformed the colors, revealed details I had never seen myself. And then there was the atmosphere: the muffled sounds, the footsteps on the dusty floor, the voices fading in front of a canvas, or the nostalgic conversations.
I have often asked myself: how to preserve this? How to convey, afterwards, this feeling of being “in” the exhibition, of still breathing in it?
Initially, I wanted to share this exhibition with the Ulule campaign contributors who weren't able to see the installation. Then there was the desire to showcase the completed work, perhaps even to replicate it elsewhere.
That is why the book became an obvious choice.
The book as an extension of the artistic gesture
At first I thought I would only share it in digital format, but then the desire to hold it in my hands was too great!
Creating a book is a bit like painting again. Choosing the images, considering the rhythms, deciding what will be shown and what will remain unseen. Each page becomes a compositional surface, a space where the works converse with one another.
I wanted this book to be as sensitive as my paintings : to breathe, to have silence, fullness, and emptiness. There are photographs of works, of course, but also fragments of text , notebook notes , enlarged details — those areas where matter becomes almost abstract.
Some pages recount specific moments in the preparation of the exhibition, others give free rein to raw emotion, without commentary. I wanted readers to be able to get a little lost in it, like getting lost in a gallery.
And then a friend did me the immense honor of writing a preface, which I'll keep a surprise for you :)

The self-publishing adventure
I chose to do everything through self-publishing .
Because it's a personal project, and I wanted to control every step of it: the format, the paper, the layout, the images, the texts, right down to the binding.
It's a long, sometimes dizzying, but incredibly rewarding process. Every decision becomes an act of creation: the choice of paper (matte or satin?), the shade of white, the ink density, the breathing space between two full pages.
I am discovering to what extent the book is a living object , just like a work of art.
Upon receiving the test print, I was very moved, proud of the quality and eager to share this enthusiasm with you.

A collective project
Even though this book bears my name, I see it as a collective creation .
There are the works, of course, but also everything that revolves around them: the people I met in Ville, those who supported me, advised me, encouraged me to dare to take this extra step.
Some photos were taken by photographer friends who captured the light better than I could have. Close friends proofread my texts, tweaked a sentence, suggested a more fitting word.
And then there are you —those of you who follow my work, come to see the exhibitions, send messages, and share the posts. This book is also for you: to extend the connection, to offer a way to keep a piece of this adventure at home.

What I hope to convey
As you close this book, I hope everyone can feel a little of what I experienced: the joy of creating, the intensity of working in the studio, the fragility of the moment the artwork leaves my hands. This book is a tangible record , a way of saying: “This is what existed, this is what I saw, this is what I wanted to share.”
It is also a promise: to continue, to explore, to experiment.
Because every ending already contains a new beginning.
Thank you for being part of this adventure — by coming to see, by reading, by pre-ordering, by sharing. It is thanks to you that projects come to life, that images leave the screen to land on paper, and that art finds its place in everyday life.
See you soon 💛
